Tommy Fleetwood’s opening round of five-under-par on Thursday at the Omega European Masters was the best first-round score he has posted on the European Tour since 2016, and the Englishman achieved the feat using a £90 Odyssey DFX 2-Ball Blade which his caddie bought on eBay.
Fleetwood’s caddie, Ian Finnis, purchased the pre-owned putter off eBay back in January as a birthday gift for the 28-year-old who used a similar putter to the Odyssey blade growing up. Seven months later and the Englishman put the flat-stick to great use during round one of the European Tour event, needing just 21 putts during the opening day’s action.
