Today is World Environment Day and in order to make a real contribution, Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar launched #SelfieWithSapling campaign, urging people to plant saplings and then click a selfie with the planted sapling.
Emphasising people’s participation or ‘jan bhagidhari’, Prakash Javadekar who took charge as union minister for environment in newly elected government led by PM Narendra Modi, said is integral to tackle environment issues and it need to become a people’s movement.
