The Supreme Court today said that the Kathua rape case trail will be transferred to Punjab’s Pathankot. The apex court, while hearing the matter has also rules out CBI inquiry.
The call for transfer came from the child’s family after the issue triggered a backlash in the state and rallies were held in favour of the accused. “Fear and fair trial can’t exist together,” the top court said, adding that the case was being transferred “on principle of free and fair trial”.
The case has been transferred to Pathankot according to the provisions of Ranbir Penal Code, which is applicable in Jammu and Kashmir.Click Here: Rugby league Jerseys
