Hangman Page was the topic of discussion on a recent episode of The Wrestling Observer Radio Program, where Dave Meltzer shed some light on WWE’s interest in the standout performer from The Bullet Club.
In latest episode of Being The Elite, The Young Bucks gave Page a pair of cowboy boots as a present along with a note signed, “Nice Try. If you want to be an assassin try being more cerebral. -H.”
Light hearted, perhaps, making a dig at Page that the boots could be a way to lure him to sign with WWE.
According to Meltzer, the joke may have hit close to home as WWE apparently did recently make Page an offer. Page turned them down according to what he had heard from WWE sources, though others he spoke to say that the reason is “because it’s not the group (all getting signed) and the group is sticking together.”
The most recent episode of Being The Elite ended with a teaser that the members of BTE’s contracts would be coming up at midnight on New Year’s Eve. Then it was added that Cody then mentioned that they may decide to go, “Double or nothing,” which could be an allusion to ALL IN 2.
This past Sunday night at NJPW’s Fighting Spirit Unleashed, Page competed with fellow Bullet Club member Chase Owens as his tag-team partner against The Addiction (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian). Though they didn’t win the bout, it was Owens that took the pinfall for his team after receiving The Addiction’s moonsault-tombstone combo finisher.
