The show opens up with a recap of last week’s tournament matches with Buddy Murphy and Mustafa Ali picking up their respective wins.
Vic Joseph and Nigel McGuinness welcome us to the show as they preview tonight’s tournament matches: Cedric Alexander vs. TJP and Roderick Strong vs. Kalisto. McGuinness says that he is interested in seeing how Strong deals with Kalisto’s high-flying abilities.
Cedric Alexander vs. TJP (Cruiserweight Championship Quarterfinal Tournament Match): A bit of a shaky start between these two as TJP gets caught up in the air. TJP was attempting a hurricanrana, but gets power-bombed by Alexander. Some back and forth technical wrestling follows with TJP trying to focus on Alexander’s legs. Alexander with a nice flip off of TJP and a dropkick that sends TJP to the outside. Alexander goes to fly, but TJP runs in and locks in an armbar for a moment. Alexander almost grabs the rope, but TJP pulls it back. Alexander is able to break the hold with a foot on the bottom rope. TJP throws Alexander into the ropes, head down and gets booted right in the head. TJP goes for a pin and then locks in a reverse figure-four. TJP tries to go for a couple of pins, but only gets two counts.

TJP with some disrespectful kicks at Alexander and stands on the side of his head. TJP with a suplex, then goes for another, but Alexander counters in mid-air and lands on TJP. TJP goes for a pin, but only a two count. Alexander lands a couple of big strikes and goes for handspring spinning kick, then goes for a pin, but only a two count. Alexander yells “I got you now!” at TJP as he hits a springboard flatliner. TJP goes for a pin, but only a two count. Alexander tries for a lumbar check, but it gets reversed into a gut-buster. TJP goes for another pin, but still another two count. TJP tries for the detention kick, but gets denied. TJP tries for a springboard kick in the corner, but he gets booted to the floor. Alexander with a big front flip over the top rope and nails TJP. Alexander springboards in and lands in the ring, but the knee slows him down.
TJP is able to lock in the kneebar, but Alexander gets out of it. TJP tries to roll up and hold the tights, but still a two count. TJP with a springboard forearm, and attempts a detention kick, but gets denied. TJP locks in the kneebar yet again, but Alexander keeps rolling to find a rope and finally gets to one. TJP with a big kick and continues to work the knee. Alexander hits the lumbar check out of nowhere and gets the pinfall victory. Winner & Advances to the Semis: Cedric Alexander
Drake Maverick was shown speaking with WWE.com about 205 Live and the show’s future. We see clips of Maverick looking to motivate a number of WWE Superstars. Maverick says that the last couple of weeks is exactly what he wants the show to be, the best in the world competing against each other.
It is announced that next week’s tournament matches will be: Mustafa Ali vs. Buddy Murphy and Drew Gulak vs. Mark Andrews.

We head backstage where Mustafa Ali is being interviewed. He says that last week he had the fight of his life against Jack Gallagher. He also says that the thought of WrestleMania kept him going and he held on just long enough to get the win. He then says that Murphy is bigger, but he’s not going to break Ali.
We then go to Murphy who says that if Ali thinks his match last week was brutal, just wait until Ali gets in the ring with him. Murphy then says that he fully plans on going to WrestleMania.
Roderick Strong vs. Kalisto (Cruiserweight Championship Quarterfinal Tournament Match): “Roddy!” chants starts before the action even gets going. As Strong and Kalisto get going we see Alexander backstage watching the match to see who he’ll face next. Kalisto tries to flip into the ring and Strong is able drop him right into a backbreaker. Kalisto with a hurricanrana that sends Strong to the outside. Kalisto with a suicide dive that flattens Strong. Kalisto walks the barricade and tries for a hurricanrana, he gets caught for a moment, but he is able to send Strong into the barricade. Still on the floor, Strong picks up and drops Kalisto on the announce table. The action is back in the ring as Strong stomps away at his opponent. Strong looks to be focusing on Kalisto’s back now. Strong drops Kalisto over his knee and goes for a pin, but only a two count. Strong hits a big dropkick and goes for another pin, but still a two count. Strong bends Kalisto the wrong way over his shoulder as he is looking for a submission victory. Kalisto tries to get back into this one with a hurricanrana.

Kalisto springboards in, then hits another springboard corkscrew splash, then hits a low hurricanrana and goes for a pin, but only a two count. Kalisto attempts a Salida del sol, but Strong drops him right over the ropes. Strong with a big forearm, followed by an olympic slam, then Strong goes for a pin, but only a two count. Strong tries to finish things, but Kalisto counters as he kicks Strong to the head. Kalisto flips over Strong and tries for a pin, but only a two count. Both men are now up on the second rope. Kalisto is able to counter Strong as he kicks him to the jaw. Strong tries a driver off the top rope, but Kalisto is able to flip over and fall on Strong who lands pretty hard on his shoulder. Kalisto hits a couple of kicks. Strong hits a jumping knee, then a backbreaker, then finishes Kalisto off with a end of heartache for the win. Winner & Advances to the Semis: Roderick Strong

After the match, Strong eyes the Cruiserweight Title, points at it, then points at the WrestleMania sign.
Nigel and Vic reminds us about next week’s two quarterfinal matches as the show ends.
