– Monday on Raw, Kofi Kingston put an end to Antonio Cesaro’s 239-day reign as United States Champion. “The Dreadlocked Dynamo” landed a Trouble in Paradise to Cesaro’s chin to ground “The Swiss Superman” to the mat.
This is Kingston’s tenth championship in WWE, as he captured the United States Championship three times, the Intercontinental Championship four times, the World Tag Team Championship once, and the WWE Tag Team Championship twice.
Kingston addressed his victory on Twitter, writing, “First and foremost, hats off to Cesaro. My body feels like it’s been through a war! But you guys make all worth it! #3TimeUSChamp.”
