WWE Superstar Elias is currently in Birmingham, Alabama for tonight’s Friday Night Smackdown, and is backstage at the show according to PWInsider.com.
Elias has not wrestled since Sept. 3rd in the quarterfinals of the King of the Ring tournament. He actually won the bout, but an injury forced him out of the tournament and he has not been seen since.

It’s unclear at this time whether or not he is backstage to be a part of tonight’s Smackdown taping, or if he is simply being evaluated by doctors for a potential comeback. This was the case for Alexa Bliss, who was backstage at Raw earlier in the week, and will be returning to action this weekend at the Starrcade special.
