During Saturday night’s NWA Into The Fire pay-per-view in Atlanta, it was announced that the promotion’s return next pay-per-view event will take place on January 24th.
The show will once again take place at GPB Studios in Atlanta, where the weekly NWA Powerrr television series is taped. It was also announced that the NWA Television Championship will be making its return at that event.
The TV title was originally created and defended in Jim Crockett Promotions starting in 1974. It share a direct lineage with the belt that would eventually become the WCW World Television Championship.
The new design appears to be almost identical to the original, with the exception that the strap is black leather on the front, and red leather on the back. No word at this point on how the NWA plans to reintroduce the historic championship.
