The following report contains MAJOR SPOILERS for upcoming episodes of Impact Wrestling, expected to air on Thursday, Oct. 18th and 25th.
— Xplosion Match: Ace Austin def. Shawn Donovan
— Brian Cage (c) def. Rich Swann to retain the Impact X-Division Championship
— Sami Callihan came to the ring and faced off against Cage, before rolling footage of their match at Bound for Glory. He dropped the champ with a kick to the face and tried to blast him with the X-Division title belt, but Cage fought back and got him up for a powerbomb. Dave and Jake Crist made the save, fought off the Machine and pulled Callihan to safety.
— Your neeeeww Impact World Champion Johnny Impact made his way to the ring and made a reference to the “craziness” of the BFG main event. He talked about how people have always said “he has the right look but…” and “he’s got a lot of potential but…”, and there’s always an excuse for why he’s not the top guy. But now he’s world champion and his career has culminated in this one moment. Johnny said he was going to be a fighting champion, not a passive aggressive douche who hides behind Twitter, which brings out…
— Rey Fenix interrupted Johnny Impact and congratulated him on the title win at BFG. He said that Johnny deserves the title, and brought up that he too has also won titles all around the world, but he has never had the opportunity to win the world title in Impact Wrestling. He asked a championship match, and Johnny agreed because Fenix is a “professional”, unlike the guy he beat at BFG that “went home and threw a tantrum”. The match is on!
— Killer Kross (w/ Moose) def. Tommy Dreamer via referee stoppage. After the match Kross and Dreamer beat the hell out Dreamer and left him laying.
— Taya Valkyrie def. Katarina
— Ethan Page def. Trevor Lee
