Le Parisien report this afternoon that Chelsea have made an approach for Paris Saint-Germain’s sporting adviser Luís Campos, and have offered the Portuguese director a salary of €8m.

Having sacked Thomas Tuchel last week, the Premier League side moved to replace the former PSG coach with Brighton man Graham Potter. Owner Todd Boehly also wants to restructure the club’s sporting management and is looking at bringing in Luís Campos.

The American wants the former Lille and Monaco man to manage the Londonders’ next two transfer windows, which would see Campos have a total of €300m at his disposal.

Campos is also the subject of interest from INEOS CEO and Nice owner Jim Ratcliffe, who wants to buy Manchester United and place Campos at the helm of the Red Devils’ sporting project.

His contract with PSG does not prevent him from accepting the offer, however he cannot work for more than three clubs – he already holds roles at Celta Vigo and the Ligue 1 champions. The move would only require a “transfer fee” for PSG.
