RMC Sport report this afternoon that Bayern Munich have submitted an offer for young Rennes forward Mathys Tel, of which the exact nature has yet to filter through.
The 17-year-old came through the youth academy at the Brittany side and has made 7 appearances in Ligue 1 this campaign, having also scored three goals in his two French youth cup appearances this past year.
The French youth international is under contract until the end of the 2023/24 season. It remains to be seen how the Rouge et Noir will react to the bid, with the club ostensibly set for attacking options while also having been keeping an eye on potential deals for their forward line this summer.
Should Tel make the move to Germany, he will be arriving amid the probable departure of Robert Lewandowski, leaving him with Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting and Sadio Mané as potential strike competition. Tel was part of the French U17 team which were recently crowned European Champions with a 2-1 victory over the Netherlands.
