RFI have today announced the list of nominees for the yearly Marc-Vivien Foé Prize, which rewards the best African footballer in Ligue 1 over a 12-month period.
The nominees are:
Yunis Abdelhamid (Reims/Morocco), Denis Bouanga (St Étienne/Gabon), Andy Delort (Montpellier/Algeria), Habib Diallo (Metz/Senegal), Idrissa Gueye (PSG/Senegal), Édouard Mendy (Rennes/Senegal), Mbaye Niang (Rennes/Senegal), Victor Osimhen (Lille/Nigeria), Moses Simon (Nantes/Nigeria), Islam Slimani (Monaco/Algeria), Hamari Traoré (Rennes/Mali).
Rennes have three players represented in this year’s set of nominations, more than any other club.
