Ouest-France and L’Équipe report that Ligue 1 side Nantes have agreed a deal with 25-year-old Brest central defender Jean-Charles Castelletto for him to join Les Canaris on a free transfer in June.
Castelletto’s contract with Brest will expire in two months time, and despite SB29 undertaking negotiations about a 3-year extension with the player, which included a wage hike, the Franco-Cameroonian ultimately wasn’t sufficiently impressed by the proposal and has thus decided to join Christian Gourcuff’s project at FCN instead.
The contract with Nantes will similarly run for three years, but with some slight financial improvements to what was on offer at Brest.

Castelletto will be by no means guaranteed a place in the Nantes starting XI, with Andrei Girotto and Nicolas Pallois looking like difficult individuals to dislodge from their current positions as starters.
