Ligue 1 side Strasbourg will imminently table a bid to sign 23-year-old attacking midfielder Mehdi Chahiri, who currently plies his trade in the French 3rd division for Red Star, according to L’Équipe.
Montpellier are also looking at the player, who has been a revelation this season. RCSA are however expected to be the first Ligue 1 club to test the waters with a formal proposal in the coming hours.
Red Star recently issued a hands-off warning to potential suitors this month, but the Alsace side could engineer a deal that would see Chahiri loaned back to Red Star until the end of the current campaign.
