FC Lorient have completed the signing of Crystal Palace winger Jason Lokilo on a season loan deal with an option to buy.

The 19-year-old winger – who was born in Brussels and was nurtured through the Anderlecht youth academy before his switch to Selhurst Park in 2015 – moves to the Ligue 2 side in the hope of further first team football to strengthen his development under Mickaël Landreau.

Lokilo was a regular for Crystal Palace’s U-23 side last season, making 26 appearances in which he contributed 10 goals and 12 assists, and also made his professional debut against Ipswich Town in the EFL Cup.

The young starlet – who has also been capped by the Congolese national side at U-20 level – told the French press of his delight in securing a loan move to Lorient. “I am very happy to come to FC Lorient, an ambitious club that allow young people to flourish. I hope I can help the club reach its goals”.
