AS Monaco striker Anthony Martial has been given permission by French national team boss Didier Deschamps to leave Clairefontaine this morning in order to complete a transfer to Manchester United.
The FFF released the following statement:
“Anthony Martial presented himself on Monday at 11:00 at the gathering of the French national team at Clairefontaine. He requested the permission of Didier Deschamps to travel to England to sign a contract with Manchester United. Given the exceptional circumstances, the coach has agreed to the request of the player. Anthony Martial left Clairefontaine on Monday at 12:00. He will return on Tuesday morning.”
Martial is expected to undergo a medical this afternoon before signing a long term contract. The fee agreement is not yet known.
