A New York woman wasn’t expecting to have this passenger in the car with her.
On Wednesday an unidentified woman was driving in Cairo, New York, when she noticed a spider crawling around in the driver’s area of her car, CBS reported.
According to a statement posted by the Cairo Police Department on Facebook, the woman “panicked and crashed” upon seeing the spider and suffered a leg injury from the accident.
The police department shared a photo of the totaled vehicle which showed the front of the woman’s car completely torn apart. The post also came with a word of caution, warning drivers of the possibility of this happening to them and being cautious on the road.

“We know that it is easier for some drivers than others but PLEASE, try to teach new drivers and yourselves to overcome the fear and pull over to a safe place. Lives depend on it,” the police department wrote.
Many Facebook users commented on the post, relating to the woman’s fear and response.
“I totally understand her panic,” one user commented.
Another brought up the possibility of other unwelcome passengers, something the Cairo police said is “a contributing factor that is not covered too often” when accidents occur.
“Fully, understand. Bees too,” the user mentioned.
According to the post, Cairo Fire, Cairo Ambulance, Greene County Medics and Greene County Sheriffs all responded to the scene on Wednesday in addition to the police department.
