Sky Italia report that 31-year-old Dutch international Kevin Strootman will join Cagliari on a season-long loan.
Whether or not an option to buy is included in the deal with Marseille is not currently known, and Strootman makes the move after a 6-month loan spell at Genoa.
The player has accepted the move, all 3 parties are aligned the conclusion of a medical and final paperwork is imminent.
