Mohamed Toubache-TER, who broke the news that Arsenal had agreed a deal for Matteo Guendouzi before anybody else last summer, told Get French Football News last night that Ligue 2 side FC Lorient have rejected an opening bid from the Gunner for 20-year-old Alexis Claude-Maurice.
The attacker is attracting interest from across Europe, but it is our joint understanding that he desperately wants to move to Arsenal and loves the idea of pairing up with Matteo Guendouzi, who he visited in London this week, despite a handful of clubs lining up for his services including Monaco and Lille.
Mohamed Toubache-TER has also informed us that the opening offer from Arsenal was €7m, turned down by Les Merlus, but that the Gunners are expected to rapidly return with an improved proposal.
