Sergio Conceicao is set to become the next manager of Ligue 1 side FC Nantes after a very productive meeting that occurred today.
Talks are now at an advanced stage between Waldemar Kita and Sergio Conceicao, with the pair discussing a two year contract in depth today.
Conceicao could be announced as the new Les Canaris boss as soon as Friday morning, according to Presse Océan.
Canal + are certain that Conceicao will certainly replace René Girard, however it is the understanding of GFFN that there remain some issues to be ironed out.
Talks have been ongoing with the manager’s agent since Tuesday and all parties are confident of reaching a deal.
However, Philippe Mao is set to be on the touchline this weekend vs Caen, regardless of whether a deal is reached before then or not.
The 42 year old has 4 seasons worth of experience in management at four different Portuguese sides, the last of which was Vitoria Guimaraes, which he left at the end of last season.
