The police in Kannur town of Kerala arrested Deepa, a 39-year-old woman for assaulting her 90-year-old grandmother. The neighbours shot a video of Deepa while she was slapping her grandmother.
She can be seen slapping and hitting Kalyani her grandmother with chappals. In video, Deepa continues to hit old lady despite her shrieking in pain. A police official confirmed that the case has been lodged against Deepa for assaulting an elderly person. While she was apprehended and kept into custody, the complaint has also been forwarded to human right commission of Kerala.
