Thanks to all 2008 NER Pub Series participants who made the trip to Doyle’s Pub in Jamaica Plain, on Thursday night for the annual awards/jacket presentation evening.
As always it was a “spirited evening.” One ‘business’ aspect of the evening was the voting of a race from the 2008 series back into the 2009 series. So we welcome the Irish Village 5 Miler, held every year on the Saturday before Mother’s Day in West Yarmouth. Race Director, Kevin Enright (who has not been informed yet), pulls out all the stops each year, (except sunny weather it seems), tweaking the event to make it a better and better experience for each and every runner.
The host, Irish Village Pub, lends a large venue, with plenty of room to move around and a post race buffet the likes of which is not equaled by many other races.
We look forward to seeing everyone the weekend of May 10th.
More info to follow in the upcoming week on the remaining events to be decided upon for the 12th Annual NER Pub Series.
