One round until the end of regular season of Italian A2 Sparkling Milan celebrate comeback to Italian volleyball A1 Serie. Milano lost tie-break in Pineto. By winning one point Sparkling secured first place in A2 Serie.
Daniele Ricci's players won 22 matches and had 5 points more than the second team in the standing. “We were going there to gain points and reach our final goal," said Daniele Ricci. Obtaining one point was enough to stay in the first place and qualify for the next season to A1 Serie.
Milan were missing in A1 serie since 2002/2003 season. Milan did not start season very well, in the first half of championship Milan was around 10th place. With the arrival of opposite J. Novotny (CZE) their perfomance changed. Sparkling won also A2 Serie italian cup this year.
