One of the most entertaining characters in the entire WWE became the G.O.A.T.
Chris Jericho with his friendship turned sour with current United States Champ Kevin Owens, putting others on the “List of Jericho,” and just tremendous mic work carried many of the most fun segments in the WWE this year.
So when Jericho said he would take some time off to tour with his band Fozzy, naturally much of the WWE Universe began to long for his return.
Jericho addressed his future with the WWE with AP News:
It’ll be a long time before I go back. If I ever do go back, if I never go back, it’s fine. If I never wrestle another match, it wouldn’t bother me.
Jericho added that he gets more excited about people who come to watch Fozzy perform:
WWE, it’s the brand name. I’m just a cog. An important part of it, people like it. But this is our band. People are here to see us. That to me, is a little more of a rush. It’s not under the auspices of another name.
However, there is a report that Jericho has already been announced to make appearances for WWE Japan Live events taking place on June 30 and July 1st at the Ryougoku Sumo Hall.
Jericho has also been added to the June 28th Raw live event in Singapore at Singapore Indoor Stadium. Jericho will be facing Hideo Itami at the June 30th event, and will face Dean Ambrose, Finn Balor and The Miz in a fatal four-way for the Intercontinental Championship the following night.
