— Brian Christopher Lawler’s funeral took place yesterday in Memphis, TN. Spellbinder Del Rios, Reggie B. Fine, Kevin Lawler, Tony Williams, Scott Garland (Scotty 2 Hotty), Rudy Charles from WWE, Matt Riviera, promoter Bert Prentice, Jerry Jarrett, Koko B. Ware, Downtown Bruno and Bill Dundee were all in attendance. Jerry Lawler commented that it was the saddest day in his life.
— Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman were not on the card at last night’s house show in Augusta, GA but both are expected back for the rest of the shows this weekend. Ronda Rousey was scheduled to wrestle all weekend. On the Smackdown side, everyone is active except for Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton, both of whom were given the weekend off.
— Pretty much all the women who are set to compete in the Mae Young Classic tournament next week are down this weekend in Orlando, FL at the WWE Performance Center. They will be practicing their matches for much of today before the tournament is taped Wednesday and Thursday of next week.
