Although he is married to a veteran of the company in Mickie James, and is himself a decorated 15-year veteran of the pro wrestling business, Nick Aldis hasn’t quite been able to make things work for himself in WWE.
Aldis, the reigning NWA World Champion with a long history of being a top guy in multiple promotions, including Impact Wrestling where he had an impressive run as Magnus, is scheduled to defend his NWA title against Cody Rhodes at the highly-anticipated “All In” stadium show in Chicago on September 1st.
In a recent interview with the folks at Digital Spy, Aldis spoke about never making things work for himself in WWE.
“I basically said that I hadn’t gotten anywhere with WWE, and, you know, there’s a myriad of reasons why that could potentially be the case,” said Aldis. “No one really gives you a straight answer there anyway.”
Aldis continued, “I’ve heard a few different versions of it, but I wedged to see if it was something that I wanted to see where it could have went.”
