WWE.com has officially confirmed that Kurt Angle will wrestle his final match on Smackdown Live this coming Tuesday night, as the Hall of Famer prepares to bring his in-ring career to a close. His final opponent will be an old rival — the “Phenomenal One” AJ Styles.
While Angle and Styles, two of the best pure in-ring performances in the history of the business, have not locked up in nearly six years, they had a storied rivalry throughout their tenures in Impact Wrestling. They first faced off in singles competition back in January 2007, and have faced each other literally dozens of times in epic world championship confrontations, ladder matches, cage matches, and beyond.

The Olympic gold medalist has been a mainstay of the blue brand nearly since its inception, debuting on only the 14th episode of Smackdown back in November 1999, scoring a win over Gangrel. Two decades (and 12 major world championships) later, he will put an extraordinary career to rest in just two weeks time, when he faces Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35.
