John Cena recently returned to the ring at a WWE live event in Madison Square Garden. The Garden has been WWE’s stomping grounds for many years of course and Cena looked primed and ready to step between the ropes once again.
Cena has been on the outside looking in for quite some time. The former face of WWE is building his career in Hollywood and that path has led him a starring role in his recent hit film Bumblebee.
John is indeed establishing himself on the big screen. But many WWE fans have been curious about his future in the ring. His return to the company was expected of course but what happens next? Will John eventually return to title contention in WWE? Or is he finished with the main event in Vince McMahon’s company?
It could be that Cena is now in a position to give back to WWE. Maybe his next run will be less about titles and more about the next generation of stars. John could give the rub to any young Superstar he faces. Despite where he goes from here, Cena can obviously calls his own shots. What happens next is anyone’s guess.
